Wagons West!!!Welcome, I would like to make an invitation and a proposition to the fair RPers of Red Dead. Anyone who knows the basics of RPing and is respectful can join in this game type that I have come up with. It is, a pioneering type of RP.
Description:This RP could be a most exciting event if all who join comply. What will happen is we will get about 3 wagons to start out with at the begining of the game. The trek to the West will start in Blackwater. As the group moves out into the West, they will find allies and enemies alike. For there will be a couple tribes of Native Americans that will want to ransack the caravan(s). But, there is a catch as well to what the tribe(s) can do. They are not allowed near any established settlements.
Here is the starting point:
When the initial group of pioneers makes it to settlements such as Armadillo or Ridgewood Farms, they will then pick up anyone who wants to join the wagon train, and those who decide to start a new life in whatever settlement they wish can stop there. But don't think that due to the threat of Natives the people will be unprotected. If any of the wagoneers wish, they could hire some guards to aid them in their journey.
Special CharactersNative Americans: They will raid wagons, camps, and scouting parties set out in the game. They can only move at night and can only use Tomahawks, Winchester Repeater, and whatever other weapons they loot from pioneers they kill.
Wagon Master: Leads the wagons through the journey. If anyone wishes to join up in the wagon train, they must speak with the wagon master. Also, the wagon master cannot die during a raid. Unfortunately his only firearms are the LaMet revolver, Sawed Off Shotgun, and a Carbine Repeater.
Scouts: They scout ahead to see if an upcoming area is safe. The scouts are the only people who can actually ride horses with the wagon caravans. They are also allowed the Rolling Block Rifle (as a scoping device). Otherwise they are only allowed the basic firearms. There can only be 2 Scouts per group.
ObstaclesThere will also be several obstacles that are not just the attack of Indians.
Some of them are:
Need for water(In desert climate, water is scarce. When the group needs water, a couple people will venture out to find water. But, they only have a day's time to get water to the wagons before everyone dies of dehydration.)
Wagon Breakdown (Sometimes the wagons' wheels will break down. When this happens, the group must stop all wagons and circle. The party must then wait until the next morning for the wheel to be fixed.)
Animal Attacks (Of course, the wagons will be attacked by animals. Defend yourselves)
Need for Warmth (When passing through colder areas of land, pioneers must find shelter, food, and thicker clothing. And fast.)
Rules1. Please use Cowboy or Pioneer-like characters unless they are doctors or so.
2. If you choose to be an Indian, do not pick a character w/ a hat please. Headbands are fine, but the hats are unrealistic.
3. No soldier classes unless approved by the job they choose.
4. At the beginning of the game, everyone in the game should meet at the pavilion in Blackwater (Including Natives). So we can get everyone arranged and ready to review rules and how the game will go, so don't go RDMing.
5. Pioneers, stay w/ your wagons while not in a town and Natives, remain with your tribe and strategize ambushes and such, but don't go chasing around the caravans please. Pirate Person and I spoke of this issue.
6. Obey all of the other rules that the site has for RPing.
